Ragdoll kittens sometimes can have diarrhoea due to a change of environment, eating too much food, feeling cold, and eating something strange.
If the kitten loses weight and after 3 days of treatment at home, it does not get better, or the kitten does not eat anything over 24 hours, you will need to take the kitten to a vet immediately. Most time, antibiotics are required. Kitten and cat diarrhoea home treatment: For kittens over 3 months old : 1/4 Smecta powder with 2 ml water in a syringe feed to the kitten once a day. 1/4 Jarrow Formulas Saccharomyces Boulardii capsules mixed in the food once a day. For cats over 3kg: 1/4 Smecta powder, 2 times a day. 2/4 Jarrow Formulas Saccharomyces Boulardii capsules mixed in the food once a day. This treatment is not for gastroenteritis or long-term diarrhoea, if the poo has blood inside you will need to take the kitten to the vet immediately not treat with this method at home.
